.013" Medium Thickness. Gossamer Floss is an incredibly stretchy, thin fiber cording - sometimes called Opelon. It is an amazingly strong, stretchy, multiple fiber cording that looks like dental floss, but has an amazing elastic quality. It threads through 10/0 seed beads and size 3 & 4 crystals with a collapsible needle. There is no need to use crimps (they may actually fray the material) simply tie a knot to secure.
As a traditional beader elastic bracelets are not my fave. But alas, sometimes I want to make something up quick and make it easy to put on. I prefer this elastic for several reasons. #1 It's thin so I can easily thread a flexible wire needle on it to double the thread and still fit through stone. #2 It's made up of multiple filaments adding to its durability. #3 Knots stay tight (glue helps)and the elastic doesn't stretch out.
