The Travelers bead board series is great for the beader on the go! Features a flocked surface helps prevent beads from rolling, recessed sections for sorting, measures both inches and centimeters and comes complete with a cover to clean up after a busy day of designing.
When this board was redesigned to include a cover, they won my beading heart. Although the cover is not ideal for traveling with projects in tow, it does keep the kitty away.

I bought one of these design boards when I started my first complex stringing project, and it worked wonders! I was able to lay out my project and figure out exactly how I wanted it before I strung it all up

I Really like the covered Bead Board but I work with large beads. The cover won't go over larger beads ... of course, it works great for smaller beads!

I think this design board is the best. It makes designing a single or multistrand necklace so easy.
Flimsy but still Useful, 1st Dec 2014

This board was somewhat disappointing as it is made of very light weight (almost flimsy!) plastic and the grooves for the beads are not very deep. (Which is why the cover won't close if the beads are bigger than about 8 mm.) Also, the top for the board is just a clear plastic cover which looks more like part of its display package than a real top. BUT, having said this, it is still useful for designing your necklace. If you are like me, you have to see your imaginings, you can't just picture it in your head! The board does help with that. Hey, how about this? Why doesn't Baubles and Beads design their own bead board and 1) make it more substantial and 2) make it more functional? :-)
