These needles are especially helpful when threading thicker materials onto the needle. The eye of the needle is made up of fine wire, once passed through a bead hole they collapse and help hold the thread firmly.
What a great invention! This needle has a large eye to start making it super easy to thread, then the eye collapses as you pass it through the first bead or finding. Use it with silk, nylon or elastic! Reopen the eye after use with the tip of an awl.
